"If you are thinking about it, do it as soon as you can. You do not need nearly as much money as you would need to live in a retirement community in the US," remarked another expat who made the move to Medellin, Colombia.
"Colombia is like a dream come true. Very much like the Shire in Tolkien's classic, "The Hobbit". Fresh, crisp mountain air. Sunny days with gentle, pine and eucalyptus scented breezes. Restful, cool nights with the patter of soft rain overhead. Green everywhere. Lush pastures and forests. An average yearly climate that averages 68 degrees at night and 75 daytime.
