"As a foreigner living in Sao Paulo, you will have access to public healthcare through the Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS). The SUS provides free healthcare services to all residents, including foreigners. However, the public healthcare system in Brazil is known for being overcrowded and underfunded, which can result in long waiting times and limited access to specialized treatments. It is recommended that foreigners also consider obtaining private health insurance to ensure access to better quality healthcare services and shorter waiting times," remarked another expat in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
