Public healthcare in Norway is funded through taxes and is available to all residents, including foreigners. You will need to register with a general practitioner (GP) in your local area, who will be your primary point of contact for any medical concerns. In case of emergencies, you can visit the nearest emergency room or call the emergency number. It is important to note that while public healthcare is accessible, there might be some waiting times for non-urgent treatments and specialist appointments. Additionally, you may have to pay a small co-payment for certain services, such as GP visits and prescription medications," wrote a member who made the move to Bergen, Norway.
