When we asked people about diversity in India and whether locals are accepting of differences, they said...

"There is one colony in Pune called Rajneesh's Ashram which is really diverse and consists of people from all over the globe. The locals are friendly -- sometimes too friendly, which makes one feel suspicious...but they're a friendly lot and mean no harm," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Pune, India.

"The beauty of India, especially Hyderabad, is the tolerance of other religions and acceptance of their values , customs and participation. The social bonding is generations old, though it might not be accepted as far as weddings go," commented one expat who made the move to Hyderabad, India.
