We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...

"Unfortunately, yes. Colombia has seen its share of drug-related gang violence and criminality, fueled by a long-standing conflict between the government and the illegal drug trade. The illegal drug trade has caused an increase in homicide and kidnapping cases, as well as threats of terrorism. In addition, corruption has been an issue in Colombia for many years, with many officials having ties to organized crime. Despite efforts from the government to mitigate criminal activity, crime remains a common problem that has had a strong impact on Colombian society," wrote a member who made the move to Colombia.
