TelefériQo Cable Car is a popular attraction in Quito, Ecuador
This cable car system offers scenic rides to the top of El Panecillo hill, providing panoramic views of the city and the surrounding Andean landscape. First established in 2005, TelefériQo has become a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists. The cable car system consists of three lines, each offering a unique experience. The shortest line, Linea 1, takes you to the summit of El Panecillo, where the Virgin of Quito statue stands. Linea 2 and Linea 3 provide longer rides, offering views of the city and the Pichincha volcano. TelefériQo operates daily from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with the last descent at 6:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket booths located at the base station. For the convenience of visitors, there are restaurants, souvenir shops, and restrooms at the top of El Panecillo.
